"Beautiful old building on the banks of a river. Courtyard in front of the accommodation is lovely and lawns and woods in the garden. We didn't use the pool but it's covered. Nice walk down the canal at the rear of the property with our dog. We went into the local town for supper and when we returned, the owners were drinking champagne in the garden! Offered us a glass and it was fab! Breakfast was simple and the coffee strong."

"The location was interesting! Hard to find with the GPS / SatNav and a neighbour gave us directions. It was fine once we worked out which little lane we needed to follow."

"Beautiful location, and the room was great. We got there quite late after a big drive with no air-con in 32-degree heat, so it was amazing to have the swimming pool to ourselves to cool down. They came and turned the lights on for us when it got dark, which was very pretty. Sat nav took us down a residents driveway. You have to drive into town and turn right at the river. Thank you for our stay!"

"Property is made up of a riverside house for Mother & Father, a house for their Daughter, and then a building containing a small number of private ensuite rooms for guests, who get to share a well equipped guest kitchen, tv lounge and dining room. Outside the grounds are immaculate - perfect for kids or dogs to run about to their hearts content. We were greeted by Mum & Dad on arrival - very sweet people. The room was larger than most, the views superb, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. A little bed had even been set aside for our cats - another sweet touch. We ate an excellent dinner in the restaurant nearby, and I'd happily stay at these lodgings again, especially for the excellent parking arrangements whilst we were towing a large trailer. Nice village with all the basic amenities and lots of lovely walks nearby - well worth the detour away from major towns."

"We didn't receive confirmation on acceptance of our pets and specific parking needs, nor any indication of how to manage our evening meal until the night before we were due to stay - so we were kept in limbo for many days after making the booking, without knowing whether we'd need to make other emergency plans - an uncertainty that we didn't appreciate given all the other travel arrangements we were working through for this trip. And whilst it wasn't a problem for us, the meagre ration of toilet paper could definately create some challenges for others who don't expect to have to bring their own loo paper to holiday let accomodations."
